Being emotionally, verbally or physically abused by a parent, or being told you are not enough or unwanted leave long lasting wounds. I want to be the adult who meets our teen where they are and loves them unconditionally for exactly who they are. My hope is to break they cycle of chaos and plant the seed of hope for them.

I enjoy seeing the progress our teens make daily and waiting for the aha moment that eventually comes. It does not always come while in our care, but it comes a few months or years down the line when I least expect it. A life moment or experience will remind a former teen about a life skills class or conversation they had while at Kyle's Place. That call, that moment, is why I continue to pour my all into our teens everyday.
